Scavenger Hunt Sunday...

1. DECAY (old/abandoned)...the roof is clearly disintegrating on this old barn

2. GROUPS OF THREE... 3 playing cards, chalk in groups of 3 for my chalkboard trays I make & scrabble tiles with a score of 3 each

3. KITCHEN...fresh flowers for my kitchen table, with my kids lovely art wall in the background

4. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMMMMMM...don't you wonder why someone would fling their shoes on a telephone wire? I do.

5. "ME" TIME...spending time watching for my sweet Rufous hummingbirds (with my camera)...my first sighting this Spring was on Friday...absolutely 'me' time!

Joining Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos for her Scavenger Hunt Sunday - 5 different prompts, your own interpretations!

I love the light in your kitchen and that wall with your children's lovely art. :) I love that your Hmmm shot, too. All electric cables here are underground, so we don't get any of that kind of fun. :)

Wow, I love your "Humm" shot. It's awesome! All you shots are fantastic. I really enjoyed viewing them!

I love the shoe shot-- but the reason they do that is to mark gang territory. Not sure how I know that...

Marla said...

Great shots. My favorite is the shoe one... but I heard that's a drug sign. Maybe I learned it on television? I can't really remember.

Wow! Fabulous photos this week! Love the "me time" and the groups of three! Awesome!

Those shoes do make you go hmmm. We saw a pair of pants on the road the other day ... that also made us wonder. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Wow love all of them! That roof is amazing...love that for your group of 3 shot you did it in so many ways, a triptych, numerical, and groups of 3. Very creative! In the kitchen shot I love that it is mostly white, except for the pop of color in the art and the flowers. I always wonder why and how those shoes get up there! And wow what a gorgeous hummingbird shot!

I love the shoes. I always wonder why people do that though.

We have the shoe thing going on in my hometown... I think it has to do with inebriated college students but don't know for sure. :) Your group of three shots are fabulous - love your "threes within a three" take on the theme. Thanks so much for linking in to Exploring with a Camera.

Wow - great job capturing that bird!! They're so quick! LOVE your decay! And your Hmmm shot - so funny. I often wonder about that. And why is it that no matter where you travel you see that same thing - the shoes on the wire? Some universal thing, I guess.

AWE!! Your photos are so beautiful. It is true about the shoes... Drugs, indeed. Usually a pick up/drop off spot. {I worked with teens in gangs/drug pushers} (Usually if law enforcement knows about them they will have them removed.) Scrabble is my favorite!!(love it for the ipad!! but nothing beats the old wooden tiles!)

Unknown said...

ahhh your shoe shot is awesome!!!! :) I love it!! and yes- it definitely makes me go "hmmm" to think about why someone would throw their shoes up there ;) Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Love the groups of 3's..very clever and well done. I also love that shot of the sneakers over the wire-I totally don't get that. Someone showed me a photo of a "sneaker tree" out in the middle of nowhere in the west-covered in paired discarded sneakers. Very hmmmmm.

Those shoes are so awesome...
And the hummingbird is gorgeous! I've tried to photograph the hummingbirds in my yard many times but nothing this breathtaking!

Great shots! I have seen the shoe thing done before but never that many at once! I heard once that shoes over hydro wires means there's a drug dealer in town but I have absolutely no idea if that's true or not as I don't hang in those circles. LOL
