We went out looking for a regular old pumpkin patch to enjoy, to soak up some of the season...we came across this local farm who had every type & color of pumpkin or gourd you could imagine. Plus crisp fresh apples, herbs galore, brussel sprouts still on their stalks, flowers, honey...just a good old fashioned farm market. Everything was so creatively displayed and had such a nostalgic feel...SO glad I brought my camera!
I loved the mysteriousness of this beautiful koi fish...I could barely see him below the sparkly surface of the calm pond water & lilypads, but if you really look, you can start to make him out. Sweet little guy! Joining Darcy for Sweet Shot Tuesday (on Thursday)
I recently finished this painting of a chandelier...I thought it would look lovely up in my stairwell, as I don't have any light fixtures except for pot lights. And I LOVE chandeliers. I have already sold it, so now I am working on another one for me!
My Solo vintage inspired TTV (throught the viewfinder - of an old camera) fine art photo was featured in a spooky treasury "The Darkness Within"...awesome collection of other artists.
My reproduction of one of my original acrylic paintings called Solace was featured in another Etsy treasury called "Paper Birches". What a cool collection of birch inspired pieces!
I have never really noticed how beautiful the inside of a Pink Lady apple is before...I was chopping the remains of one down in size so it wouldn't clog up my garbage disposal, and I cut it in the direction I never do...and this sweet design is what I found. I've just never really paid attention to this before! Sweet!

One of my vintage style fine art photos was chosen for another Etsy treasury...LACE. This sweet weed is so beautiful, and seems to grow anywhere. Really not that fussy about the type of soil and doesn't seem to need to be regularly watered. Happy to just blow in the wind and "be".
Faith, over at Simplicity has another photo challenge...taking a self portrait. So I decided to try a TTV (through the viewfinder) portrait of me, using a Spartus Full-Vue twin lens camera. This beauty was made between 1948-1960. My digital camera is a Canon 40D. A TTV photo is defined as taking a modern photograph (using a digital camera) looking through the viewing lens of a vintage camera, my Spartus. And of course a mirror...this is what I came up with! Go check out how creative others were with their self portrait!
Look at this {sweet} little fella I found in one of my shrubs this morning...I just never know what I will find if I slow down and take the time to stop and observe the nature around me. Joining Darcy again for Sweet Shot Tuesday :)
I have a small trickling water fountain that I enjoy the sound of in my back yard/deck...lovely bright yellow American Goldfinches drink from it all the time...but look who decided to enjoy a DIP! A super sweet female Rufous hummingbird!
